White Egg Turnip

Description:

White Egg Turnip is a uniquely and charmingly shaped heirloom with smooth, white, egg-shaped roots that are visually delightful and genuinely mild and sweet in flavor far more approachable than large, pungent turnip varieties and excellent eaten raw on relish trays, steamed until just tender, or roasted until lightly golden with olive oil and herbs. Cold-tolerant and fast-maturing, the compact size makes this an ideal cool-season root vegetable for containers, smaller gardens, and adventurous cooks who want to explore the gentle side of turnips.
