Tephrocactus articulatus var. oligacanthus

Description:

Formed of pine-cone shaped segments, with minuscule thin spines spread across the surface, this little cactus may need a little structural help to reach heights over 30cm. Its fragile segments can easily fall away from the main stem, but not to worry as they can be quickly propagated. Unique large twirling paper like ribbons pertrude from the cactus body, making in a distinctly decorative and unpredictable specimen.
