Santolina ‘Primrose Gem’

Description:

Primrose Gem is a wonderfully tidy little shrub the sort you can use like punctuation in a border. It forms a neat mound of evergreen, finely cut foliage, and in summer its topped with softer, primrose-yellow button flowers that feel slightly gentler than the usual bright gold.

Its ideal for edging, low informal hedging, or planting in groups to give a border rhythm and structure. It also suits pots and raised beds, where its shape and colour can be appreciated up close, and its a good choice if you like low-maintenance planting that still looks gardened.

Give it full sun and free-draining soil, and dont overfeed it too much richness can make it floppy. A gentle clip after flowering keeps it compact, rounded and fresh.
