Frisee Endive

Description:

Frise Endive is one of the most criminally underappreciated salad greens its delicate, finely curled, pale yellow-green leaves have a pleasant, sophisticated bitterness that adds complexity and textural elegance to salads in a way that no other green can replicate. A classic in French bistro cooking, frise is the foundation of the iconic lardons and poached egg salad, equally wonderful in any composed salad where its airy, lacy texture provides a beautiful contrast to heavier ingredients.
