Description:
Epimedium warleyense - OrangeQueen
A colorful and evergreen shade groundcover, Epimedium warleyense OrangeQueen (also known as pubigerum or Orangeknigin) produces striking copperorange spurred blooms in midspring on wiry, 1520in (3850cm) stems above glossy, heartshaped leaves edged rosyred. Its foliage emerges rosy-bronze, matures green through summer, and turns bronzy again in fall, offering yearround interest. This slow-spreading clump thrives in part to full shade, thrives in a range of soils (from dry to moist, loamy to clay), and is remarkably deer-, rabbit-, and drought-tolerant once established. Butterflies adore its early flowers, and its evergreen habit makes it ideal for woodland gardens, containers, and shady borders
