Crookneck Squash

Description:

Crookneck Squash is one of the oldest squash varieties still cultivated in America grown since the 1500s and beloved ever since for its distinctive gently bent neck, golden yellow skin, and buttery, mild flesh that's at its finest when harvested small and young. Slice the tender fruits thin for a quick saut in olive oil, grill them whole on the barbecue, or add them to summer vegetable soups and ratatouilles where their sweet, creamy flavor enriches every dish they touch.
