Description:

SUMMER DRUMMER

• Late Spring Flowering
• 2 Pack
• Great cut flowers
• Garden giant!
• Zone 3

A colossal allium variety, at 72 tall, Summer Drummer will tower above its flower bed companions, becoming the focal point of any garden display! Its impressive 8 diameter globe-shaped heads of tiny purple florets are flushed lightly with snowy white for a frosty lilac appearance. Plant in the fall months (Sept-Dec) for an early summer bloom (June - July). When planting, place bulbs 2 deep in moderately dry, well-draining soil. Space bulbs are approximately 8 apart from each other. This deer-resistant perennial naturalizes easily, returning to your garden year after year. Summer Drummer loves the sun but can also handle a bit of shade. It can be grown in USDA hardiness zones 4 - 9. Be cautioned that alliums are poisonous if eaten by your pets. This massive allium acts as a beacon for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators, attracting them to your garden from far and wide!
