Zebrune Shallot

Description:

Zebrune Shallot is a long-day French heirloom with elongated, distinctive form and a sublime flavor that sits between sweet onion and garlic milder and more complex than either, with a natural sweetness that makes raw shallots excellent in vinaigrettes, and a delicate depth that caramelizes magnificently in butter for sauces, braises, and pan sauces. The premier shallot for classical French cooking and one of the most rewarding alliums the home gardener can cultivate, storing beautifully for months after curing.
